Temple Opening

On January 21, 2014 family went through the Gilbert Arizona Temple. The open house is going really well. Temple is more beautiful than I could've ever imagined. The boys and I drive past it every day and I just marvel at how close it is to our house and I can't believe the boys are going to grow up with temple so nearby. We are so incredibly blessed and I am so grateful. I encourage them even now when they are so young that they need to take advantage of having the temple so close. I'm hoping that Tyler and Oscar will want to go into baptisms often at the temple. I know that I am very excited to be able to go into sessions. My friends and I are already planning swaps kids so that we can go.
So about three weeks ago my friend Harmony Brice introduced me to a new school. And I decided that Tyler needed to check it out see if it was something that he should do. We went over there last week and spent the day at the Kimber Academy. Ty really liked it and he wants to go there. I prayed about it and I think that it will be a really good idea to send him there. I think that he will have a better opportunity to learn and grow and master the Core subjects.  All the boys want to go. But we're going to start off with Tyler and hope that he will do really well. Really really pray that it will be a good fit for him and that he will flourish do so well and that he will gain knowledge and be able to progress quickly through his studies. Means that he will not be taking any academic classes in high school. He will just take some electives and he can do sports. So we're hoping that he will get the best of both worlds. Be able to have the academics served to him in a way that he can learn. And have the social life at High school that he really wants to have. Tonight was. Orientation. Oscar and Tyler went with me and it was so fun to be on a high school campus with both of them. They are growing up so fast and lately they have been getting along really well. I'm so proud of them and tonight was just a really nice evening. We had a very late FHE. Burton taught us about Abraham and his son. He did a really good job. Little boys were in bed and so we had an opportunity to talk to visit and have a really nice evening together. There was no fighting no snarking or rude comments. I just loved it. Everyone was smiling and happy. Especially seeing Tyler like that was such a joy. And times he takes his job of being a teenager a little too seriously. I'm hoping that there are some really fun years to come with them. I hope that I can be a good mom to them. Be strict but also be able to have fun with them.  I'm sure I've said this before but we are trying to do the house again this year. Were actually talking to some builders and getting an idea of how much it will cost. So hopefully sometime this year I will be saying the words we have broken ground. Baby Daphne is an absolute joy in our house. I can't believe that she is here still. She's so amazing so beautiful so perfect so fun. We feel so honored to have her with us. The boys all adore her. We are so grateful to heavenly father for giving her to us. We hope that we can be worthy and keep her safe and proper to grow up strong and healthy. Feeling very happy.

Walk off the Earth

My Christmas present from Nathan was to go to the walk off the earth concert. We got to go in March and it was a fantastic trip. We got to fly out to San Diego and spend a little bit of alone time together. 24 hours. But it was fun to be spontaneous and go to the concert and feel young and enjoy the music. For such a great band and we had a really fun time together.

New Years 2013

New Year's 2013 was spent at the Webster's house in Queen Creek. Take a look at that beautiful walkway. Ornamental pears in their front yard. I absolutely love them. Hope to have them in my own yard some day. So at 10 o'clock is when we usually celebrate New Year's. Then the parents don't have to stay up so late. We had out to the front yard and Nathan and Zack run the fireworks. The boys are getting old enough to help as well. It was pretty cold that night so I went inside a couple times to warm up. But the kids did great. Happy faces all around.

Schneff Farms with Preschool Group

Miss Stacy our favorite preschool teacher always has a fun outing in the fall. We went to Schneff farms in Queen Creek. It is quite an operation. They have lots of really fun things to do. I have not been there for a while and didn't know about this awesome carnival area. They have farms were you can pick food and they have lots of storefronts with food and parties and open parks to hang out in. We really enjoyed it. There were little preschool kids everywhere. It was so fun.
Emmett and Grant stuck together during the outing.  They were adorbs.

Grandma's 89th birthday

Emmett, Wyatt, Peter, EZ, And Noah
These blonde babies are so so adorable.  Can't believe we all have blonde babies.  I guess I can't believe that I do.  It is so fun to see them all together.

we get together for Phyllis's  birthday every year. We love her so much she is such a wonderful and unique grandmother. I have so many fun memories of her growing up. She has always been a very vivacious and fun active person. And grandma has always had red hair. When I was little we used to go to her house for sleepovers. It was so fun to play with all of her jewelry and try on her clothes and play with her exercise equipment. We loved her house and her stairs going up and down the stairs and playing on the bars. Her house was kind of like a magical castle to me. With that bedroom upstairs that I almost would always forget about and then find again and I had the balcony with all of the treasures up inside the closet. Things that used to belong to grandpa and her. Everything smelled so wonderful.
It is so wonderful that we can all get together as families now. We are so spread out and hardly get to see one another.
We met at a church building and played in the park and visited and then we went inside and ate some potluck dinner and then the kids got on stage and sing some songs for grandma. Grandma has always been a big lover of music. When I was little Allison and I would always perform for her at all of her parties. She was very concerned and wanted to make sure that we knew we were singing. Make sure that we have something prepared. Often though, Allison and I would have to improvise and put something together quickly. We would usually be giggling and laughing and having a good time. Grandma was always so grateful and excited to hear us sing.
