Orange park

We got in the car yesterday in search of greener pastures. And a place to burn some energy. I brought my camera of course.

This one is my favorite.

Mission Call

Mom and Dad got their mission call.

3rd Mission. They put in for a year, hoping to go state side. It is a funny thing that the Lord wants them out side of the USA every time they go.

Montreal, Canada Leaving on January 25th.

Hip hip hooray. The Hawkers

A taste of what it is like

The boys get pretty wild some times. Wyatt got this for Christmas. Got a little more than what he bargained for I think

My Early Christmas Present

Nathan got me a new 17-50 lens for my camera. Been playing instead of getting ready. Gonna stop now. Promise. Also found a new action. Airbrush.

Emmett twisted him self almost out of the chair and YY helped him out with the rest.

Day Trip to Sedona

My parents go to Sedona every December. So we made it up there for a day trip. Nate took T & O Snowboarding. Their first time. I took 4 boys to play with Grandma and Grandpa for the day.

I have a picture just like this when I was a little girl. My dad and Me. My hand in his mouth.

So I edited it to look 70’s. Appropriate.

Of course I took about 250 pictures.

Have to practice you know.

My Daddy Dear Darling

We went on a walk near the resort.

Oh my goodness! A picture of me.

Wesley and Burton were showing me how to kill bears.

“You have to have a weapon”

Wesley was very interested in moss.

The room had a deep tub and the boys took baths. The lighting was really bad. Only YY’s turned out.

Thanksgiving

Ya I know we are already past that. But I forgot to put up some pictures. I didn’t get very good ones of people.

I am still figuring out how shoot inside.

These are my pumpkin pies. They turned out beautiful.

Made with ice cream in the mix.

The food all turned out so so yummy. We had a great day. Thanks Syphus’s and Hawkers for attending.

Hair Cuts

The boys wanted to try growing their hair out. I could tolerate it no more.

I think that Oscar actually pulls it off ok.

I have tried to get after shots but #2 isn’t standing for pictures right now. Going through rebellious stage.

Christmassy Sunday

2 years ago I got letters for the stockings. I was pregnant with YY. I thought maybe we would name him Emmett. So I got an E. So T, O, W, B, W, E. Nathan has the N. and I gave my W to Wyatt. Luckily the E worked out. Now I just need to get another W. Although I would prefer to get a Y.

Nathan decided to spiffy up the tree. So we all pitched in and it was very enjoyable. Christmas music playing and the decorations were flying. Literally in a house of boys.

I can’t tell you how hard it was to get a picture of Nathan. I didn’t know he was so camera shy. He was a real STINKER

Oh and I tried out some of my new sample actions I got from Totally Rad Actions. They are!

Burton's cake

Burton’s 5th Birthday. Yay. We had a great day. Got to play with legos all day.

YY thought he was being sneaky.

Well it ain't pretty, but they didn't look at the cake.

Tyler made the ship.

Burton was trying to think of something to wish for.

Happy 5th Birthday

Christmas Lights

Emmett was looking at the tree and I was trying to get the lights in his eyes to shine in a picture.

Here is the original out of the camera.

Here is what I did to it in photo shop. I took some of the red and yellow out and put a texture in there. Burned the edges. Ect… Pretty sweet.

OH I love my camera

These were taken yesterday. We went to the park with Nate's family.
So the exciting thing is that I figured out how to add textures.
All you do is take a picture of a texture you like and lay it over a picture and decrease the opacity.
I did lots of other actions too, but it could get boring. Thought these turned out fun.

Oh my goodness, That is a cute boy

Goofin

So I have been reading in my book and there was a section about a cool technique, tracking a moving object. The camera shutter can’t be any faster than 1/60. You can see the pavement flying by. Pretty cool.

I have also been playing with editing. Finally finding my burn tool, quickly become a fave, I took this picture.

F1.8 and 1/4000. Thank heaven it was a cloudy day.

I adjusted the light and burned the edges.

Looks pretty cool man.

Burton gets sick of me taking the pics all the time. Just shows to go ya, anyone can take pictures. It has to be the camera. Good job B.

All about GG

We had a family reunion this last weekend. Thanksgiving is out of control with the kids. And we decided like many otherbig families to do a

big party before the event and

go our own Way on Tday.

We did skits for GG and sang her happy birthday. OUr skit was about when their house burned down in Casa Grande when my mom was a kid. So we all had parts. The play was masterfully written by Alli.

Then we went to the park the next day and it was the

most perfect weather.

My perfect day.

Saturday night we had a party at Aunt Lynn and Uncle Phil's, Adult party.... What a concept. Yay. No kids. It was so nice to relax and visit. We will have to do that more often. Thanks everybody for coming. Amanda consulted with Bobby about her electricity problems at her new house.
She seemed confident that she can do it.
